Beginners and improvers Qigong Workshop

Time: Sunday, 16 September  11:00 – 15:00

Place: Life Yoga Centre, Bantry

What is Qigong ?
Qigong (pronounced “Chee Gung”) is an ancient Chinese health exercise it develops your Qi (pronounced “Chee”) to strengthen your body and cure illness. The exercises stimulate the acupuncture points, channels and the flow of Qi. When the Qi is strong and flows smoothly then the body will be healthy and the mind calm and clear.
Qigong exercises are often confused with taijiquan (tai chi chuan) as they are soft, gentle and relaxed. However, taijiquan has its roots in the martial arts and so all the movements have a martial application. Qigong however, is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is solely for health.

In this workshop we will learn:

Good Breathing

Cleansing Warmups for joints and muscles.

Calming Relaxing Meditation while working on the breath

Working on Basic Qigong Exercises to Adjust and balance your Qi energy, Harmonise your body-mind and Feel grounded with a sense of well-being.

Qigong Exercise for Spleen Health, improving digestion,  muscle strength, blood production, water metabolism

Qi Flow Standing Meditation

Daoist healing sounds meditation.
